Fashion Show Neostalgia
Like every year, the end-of-course fashion show of the Burgo School transformed Milan into a creative stage, presenting “Neostalgia,” a concept that intertwines memories and the future, tradition and change, in dialogue with the social and cultural transformations of our time. The students of Fashion Design and Professional Tailoring, coming from the Italian and international branches of the institute, offered a personal reinterpretation of the neorealism of the 1940s, conveying its soul through a contemporary sensitivity that blends aesthetics and emotion. The collections highlighted the dual face of that era: on one hand, the rigor of women’s military attire, inspired by the daily strength of women during the conflict; on the other, the sophisticated charm of the movie starlets, featuring flowing dresses, seductive lines, and refined details. Everything, however, was revisited with a modern and conscious language.Fine fabrics, tailored workmanship, and a color palette linked to the Spring/Summer 2026 trends – between neutral and military tones alongside bolder colors – have given life to garments that tell of an imperfect yet authentic elegance. Cut-outs, transparencies, and embroideries have paid tribute to the legacy of the past, projecting it into a new contemporary setting.”Neostalgia” thus becomes more than just a title: it is a generational manifesto, an invitation to reinterpret memory with different eyes, to dress in history without giving up on innovation and an elegance capable of transcending time.
